How Expat Entitlements collects, uses and protects your personal information. Last updated: September 2026.
Expat Entitlements ("we", "us", "our") provides UK benefits claims assistance to British nationals living in the EU. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at .
We use your information to assess your eligibility, contact you about your enquiry, prepare and submit benefit claims to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) with your consent, correspond with the DWP on your behalf, and administer our fee. We never sell your data.
We rely on your consent for enquiries and marketing cookies, on contract to deliver our service once you instruct us, and on your explicit consent for processing health information needed for your claim. You may withdraw consent at any time.
We share claim information with the DWP to process your application. Enquiries sent through our website form are processed on our own web hosting and emailed to our support inbox. We use trusted service providers for web hosting, email and secure storage, who process data only on our instructions. We will not share your information with anyone else unless required by law.
Enquiry data is deleted after 12 months if no claim goes ahead. Client records are kept for 6 years after your claim concludes, to meet legal and accounting obligations.
Essential: we store your cookie choice in your browser so we don't ask again.
Advertising analytics (Meta Pixel): only if you click "Accept", we use the Meta Pixel to measure how visitors from our adverts use the site and whether they complete an eligibility check. If you submit the check after accepting cookies, Meta may receive hashed (scrambled) versions of your name, email, phone number and country to match the visit to our advertising. You can decline cookies and still use the site fully.
To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and revisit the page. Meta's processing is covered by its own privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us and we will respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
